The Bunker news article

Shaun McLaughlin at The Bunker has long been a supporter of Pig Iron. He's been with us right from the start and stocks our products at various shows over the UK. His main business is running a guest house in Newark but he also hosts gaming weekends where you can stay at his guesthouse and indulge in some serious gaming activity. Here's a news article from the Newark Advertiser.

Necromunda Delaque conversions

This all started a while ago when I picked up some cultists off Ebay just to see what they were like, how they were made and to generally be nosey.
They've sat in a box for ages doing nothing so as a break from sculpting NF stuff I thought I try and convert them to Delaque gangers using some spare resin heads of ours. The first thing to do was carve off all the chaos stuff and remove the existing heads. The next step was to add longer coats, high collars and cover any dodgy bits with ammo pouches, backpacks etc. Conversions are great for sculpting practice as its not as critical to get it perfect so you tend to relax and make a better job of it (if that makes sense).
I've long been a fan of Necromunda and have been itching to get back into it so this was just the excuse I needed. I'll post some painted figs in due course but there's a load of proper PI work to be done first.

Wild West game shots

Hi all,
This Wild West game was from ages ago but I thought it was worth sharing. Rules we used were Legends of the Old West, figures are Foundry and the wooden buildings were all scratch built by me (apart from the crates which were from Ebay). I've not had as much enjoyment building scenery for years - all that planking is quite therapeutic. Plus, the figures are a joy to paint.

Mercenary conversions

Hi again,
Here's something we've been quite excited about. As you know we've been expanding our NF range by adding new heads etc and are currently sculpting more irregular style sprue options.
When we were getting the samples done on the NF trooper head releases we tried a few test conversions mixing up all our NF and Kolony rebel sprues we have released at the moment.
Here's the result so far. Watch out for painted versions in the next couple of weeks - I just have to get woodland pattern camo nailed first.

New Near Future packs at Salute

This month at Salute sees the release of 4 new head packs for our Near Future range. These packs have been designed to work with our NF Trooper sprues and give gamers loads of new options to design their forces lust as they like them.

The new head packs are:
HD.22 - Ballistic helmets with gasmasks. £4.50
HD.23 - Mercenaries. £4.50
HD.24 - Berets. £4.50
HD.25 - Boonie Hats. £4.50

At Salute (and next week on our website) they will be available to buy either as a pack of 20 heads or complete with our Near Future Infantry pack £20.00 (10 heads, 10 legs and 10 torsos).

As with all our heads, they are designed to be compatible with most heroic scaled Sci-Fi ranges to offer endless converting opportunities.

Also, I have been doing some test conversions with our Kolony Rebel body/leg sprues and they look great - more on this soon here on this blog.

Near Future Troops review on Graven games

Hi all,
It's pretty quiet here as a few things have gone to the casters so I'm catching up on some painting and non-Pig Iron stuff. Once things ahve come back from Griffin Moulds it'll be back to the sharp end getting samples done etc.
In the meantime, here's a great, in-depth review of our NF troops visit Graven Games Site. Click Here.

Graven Games Conversion

Hi all,
Here's an exceptional conversion by Steve Gravener from Graven Games. He's converted one of our Ironshield tanks into an Adeptus mechanicus themed Chimera transport for Warhammer 40k.
Top work we think and nice use of pipes and mesh.
